Smoky Quartz: naturally irradiated, naturally black

Smoky quartz gets its dark brown-to-black color from natural background radiation interacting with trace aluminum inside the crystal, no treatment required. A double-terminated point reads almost like obsidian in low light, and it’s genuinely one of the more dramatic pieces in the case for the price.
